The Erasmus+ Education and Training National Agency (E+ ET NA /AN E+ EF) is a mission structure integrated into public administration; it has administrative and financial autonomy for awarding grants under the joint supervision and jurisdiction of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Ministry of Labour, Solidarity and Social Welfare.

To manage a fair and transparent assessment and selection process of applications for education and training projects to be funded in Portugal.
TO SUPPORT
To provide support to applicants and participating organisations throughout the life cycle of their respective projects.
TO PROMOTE
To promote the dissemination and exploitation of the Programme results at a local and national level.
VISIBILITY
To ensure the visibility of the Programme.
TO COOPERATE
To cooperate effectively with National Agency networks and with the European Comission.
Role of the Agency
The National Agency plays an important role as an intermediate structure for the qualitative development of the Erasmus+ Programme in:
PERFORMANCE
To promote Programme performance and stimulate policy development in areas supported by the Programme.
TO SUPPORT NEW APPLICANTS
To support new applicants and underprivileged groups to remove obstacles to their full participation in the Programme.
TO SUPPORT ORGANISATIONS
To support external organisations to heighten the impact of the Programme in Portugal.

Management Tools
The NA uses a variety of tools to manage activities already developed and under development given the available resources and documents for monitoring and performance evaluation; a variety of indicators for effectiveness, efficiency and quality which take into account the annual and multi-annual objectives and their respective annual achievement goals.
Regulations
The NA, in carrying out the activities framed by its objectives, is governed by a set of norms that can be consulted here on the list of regulations.
Quality
By carrying out its mission, the NA considers the quality of its processes, activities, products and services as a strategic objective that can be continually improved to ensure the satisfaction of all interested parties: beneficiary institutions and their students and staff, general public, the Portuguese State, the European Union and participants in the organisation; bearing this in mind, its management system is certified by the NP EN ISO 9001:2015 norm.
